Cardiac Healthcare Assistance: The Foundation provides quality but affordable treatment to pre-selected patients in areas where there is an NHI presence. These prospective patients undergo a strict screening test to determine their medical needs and their financial status. Once a patient’s application is approved by a special selection committee, he or she is automatically part of the program and will receive all the benefits of the program:
Pre-operative care
Post-operative care and therapy
*These include surgical as well as medical needs
Cardiac disease prevention: Part of the mission of the Foundation is to help spread awareness of cardiovascular disease prevention. To achieve this, the foundation will work with schools, local governments, and organizations to set up workshops, forums, symposiums, and informal gatherings where heart specialists can inform the public about how to prevent heart disease.
Research: HHFP believes in improving knowledge on cardiovascular diseases, how to treat it, and how to prevent it. As such, it will also provide seed-funding to researchers and medical practitioners who wish to contribute to cardiovascular research from their own clinical experiences as cardiologists. These researches are aimed at identifying innovative ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat heart disease.
